Christian Veterinary Mission (CVM) exists to share the love of Christ through veterinary medicine. Working in communities worldwide, CVM equips and encourages veterinary professionals and students to build relationships with others through the use of veterinary medicine so that lives may be transformed.

Dr. Gerald and Frances Mitchum have served in Mongolia with Christian Veterinary Mission since 1995. Through an organization which they founded -known as V.E.T. Net – the Mitchums continue to provide much-needed veterinarian education by bringing to the country both long-term and short-term veterinary missionaries in many different specialties.

Through their organization and oversight, the Mitchums have made it possible for Mongolian veterinarians to purchase high quality drugs for their animals; and the contacts they have made through their veterinary work has enabled them to expand into supporting schools and providing Christian teachers for children in even the remotest parts of Mongolia. All of their work is done with a strong Christian witness, including Bible training for Mongolians in most “aimags” (provinces) of the country. This ministry has been extremely effective since the fall of the Mongolia’s former communist government in the early 1990’s.

In this book you will read about various programs which Dr. Gerald and Frances Mitchum have started – Gift-of-Love, Claim-a-County-for-Christ, Watering-with-the-Word, Herder Training, and Shepherd’s Conference.  To read more about CVM or to support V.E.T.
